VALLEY Spice in Corwen is the home of the Euro Asia Chef of the Year 2025 for Wales.

Last year it was also awarded a place among the Top 100 Indian Restaurants in the UK by the prestigious Asian Catering Foundation.

It also won best Indian Restaurant in North Wales in 2024.

Not bad for an Indian Restaurant which has only been open for about 18 months. The name Valley Spice was inspired by the beautiful Dee Valley and it is located near the Owain Glyndŵr statue in the town square at Corwen.

The menu promises to embark you on a culinary journey through India's vibrant flavours!

We were certainly in the need for some warmth as we approached the welcoming glow of the restaurant's windows, to seek some shelter from some horizontal sleet and snow.

Inside, underneath the counter, there was a welcoming turquoise neon display, which had the valley spice logo on it.

The tables were decorated with smart black tablecloths, white napkins and a single romantic red rose. The booth seating had some artificial green shrubbery behind it, giving the decor a vibrant and classy feel to it. The diverse menu showcases a rich tapestry of flavours from India and Bangladesh.
