Join more than 400,000 Litter Heroes cleaning up our communities

Spring Clean Cymru is the nation's largest mass-action environmental campaign – so why not get involved?
-
SOME 30 million tonnes of litter are dropped across Britain every year.
Not only is it a visible blight on our communities, but it also harms wildlife and costs an estimated £1billion annually to clear up.
The good news is that environmental charity Keep Wales Tidy's Spring Clean Cymru – part of The Great British Spring Clean – is returning on 13-29 March. Once again hundreds of thousands of people will be doing their bit to make our streets sparkle.
Since the event started life as a one-off in 2016, an army of Litter Heroes have shown they love where they live by pledging to pick up more than 4.5 million bags of rubbish from Britain's streets, parks, fields, riverbanks and beaches.
Last year, almost 400,000 volunteers took part in the annual litter pick, filling around 462,000 bags of rubbish. A survey of participants, showed 95% agreed it made a noticeable difference to their local area.
