Man threatened mum with knife days after driving into a police car

A MAN threatened his mum with a knife before later trying to claim he was only going to “cut cheese” with it.

Martin Bradley, 43, of Forest Drive, Broughton, Flintshire, also used his mum’s bank card and on a separate occasion rammed a police car.

A judge at Mold Crown Court jailed him for two years and four months for threatening a person with a bladed article in a private place and for two months, consecutively, for a drink driving offence.

The court heard a relationship ended and Bradley (pictured) moved back in with his mother in Horton, Staffordshire. But he “abused her hospitality”, according to the judge, by spending about £200 on her bank card on January 12.

Later a witness saw him buying vodka from a garage. Police followed him but he rammed a patrol car, said prosecutor Amy Edwards.
