Cardiff boss in no doubt what the fans want

CARDIFF City head coach Brian Barry-Murphy says he is under no illusions what tonight's Carabao Cup tie against Wrexham means to supporters - and admits he can only 'dream' of replicating Phil Parkinson's remarkable success at the Dragons.

The Bluebirds travel north for a sold-out all-Welsh clash in the fourth round, with both clubs eyeing a place in the quarterfinals.

Wrexham v Cardiff would have been a regular fixture for fans of a certain vintage, however this will be the first meeting in more than 23 years and Barry-Murphy is excited about the occasion.

"By nature, this is a tie where the whole club is really excited," said the Irishman.

"From the first round, our intention was to try and win all the games to give us a chance to encounter a tie which we wouldn't expect.
