HE 'LOST TEMPER' AND MOCKED FEMALE OFFICERS IN CAR, COURT TOLD

- By DAVID POWELL

'Bullying and nasty' farmer locked police officers in compound

POLICE officers investigating a suspected road accident went to a farm but were locked in the compound by a pig farmer.

Paul Billington said he feared his pigs could be infected and padlocked the gates.

He told the two female officers to ring their sergeant and mocked one who was shivering in fear.

Eventually, the 31-year-old let them go, Mold Crown Court heard yesterday.

He held his head in his hands in the dock as police bodyworn camera footage was played in court showing 'bully' Billington's 'disgraceful' behaviour.

Billington, of Llyndir Lane, Burton-in-Rossett, admitted affray.

A judge gave him a four-month jail term but suspended it for 12 months.

Prosecutor Amy Edwards said two police officers went to a report of a road traffic accident in Higher Kinnerton on September 27 last year.
