Newcastle end 70-year wait for domestic glory

BRUNO GUIMARAES described winning Newcastle United's first major domestic trophy in 70 years as “the best day of my life”.

The victorious captain was in tears after Eddie Howe's team delivered a stunning Wembley performance to lift the Carabao Cup.

"It’s all for these fans," Guimaraes declared. "They deserve everything. When I first came here, I said I wanted to put my name in history.
