Choc & crisps addict loses 17st after fears he may die in sleep

AN overweight window cleaner who feared he might die in his sleep is enjoying a new lease of life after shedding 17 stone in just 18 months.

Graham Baalham, 55, said he would jolt awake up to seven times a night, gasping as his windpipe seemed to close up.

But he is now back sleeping soundly after going from 29 stone to 12 stone.

Graham, who is 5ft 4in, said: "Sleep was the worst part. It was terrifying. I'd wake up six or seven times a night not breathing, gasping for air.

"I'd have to stick my head out of the window just to breathe."

Wife Belinda was convinced he had sleep apnoea.
