Teen's final message to mum before death

A TEENAGE girl who died of suspected carbon monoxide poisoning with her boyfriend on a family holiday texted her mum the night before to tell her she loved her, a coroner heard.

The tragic detail was heard at the opening of the inquests into the deaths of Cherish Bean, 15, and Ethan Slater, 17, whose bodies were found inside a cabin called the "man cave" at a country park.

The night before, they had left the main family accommodation to watch TV in Cabin 31 at 9pm.

About 50 minutes later, Cherish returned to speak to her mum, complaining of having a headache.

She was given Calpol, and returned to the smaller cabin, where she sent a text to her mum saying "good night and she loved her".
