Christian and Geri's 'release from the madness' is Spicing up their lives as they eye double sporting glory

- BY ANDY DUNN

AN ESCAPE TO VICTORY

IN the early hours of a Melbourne Saturday morning, Christian Horner will have horsepower on his mind.

Of course he will, because next weekend sees the start of the 2025 Formula One season and Horner is preparing for what he hopes will be a record-breaking season for his Red Bull team.

Horner's number one driver, Max Verstappen, is targeting a FIFTH world drivers' championship in a row, a feat never before accomplished.

But as he counts down to the season- opening Australian Grand Prix and the performance of his Red Bull cars, Horner will also have another form of horse- power and another 'driver' on his mind.

Almost 11,000 miles away at Cheltenham, amateur jockey Jack Andrews will be steering Lift Me Up around Prestbury Park in the St James's Place Festival Challenge Cup Hunters' Chase, more commonly known as the Foxhunter, the penultimate race of the Festival.

Lift Me Up is owned by Horner and his wife Geri, and named after one of the former Spice Girls singer's hits.
