Nessa's back in the saddle

RUTH Jones wheels out her Gavin and Stacey character Nessa for one last time as she pedals a rickshaw to film the closing episode of the show.

The BBC hit ran for three series between 2007 and 2010, returning for a 2019 Christmas special that ended with Nessa proposing to Smithy (James Corden).

Jones, 57, and Corden, 46, were co-creators of the comedy which followed the title characters, played by Mathew Horne and Joanna Page, balancing their love life in Essex and Barry Island.

The pair vowed to shoot a final festive one-off and they have been filming this week on Barry seafront.
