Of the various “experts” Auntie has been wheeling out to defend itself, there have been claims that the Beeb made a “mistake” in its dealings with the President: it did nothing of the sort.

I very much hope he gets it: not only has their behaviour towards him been utterly indefensible, but they are taking the rest of us for idiots too.It deliberately and intentionally altered a speech to make it appear that he had said and meant the direct opposite of what he actually said: what kind of a broadcaster does that?
