GP practice rated as outstanding by CQC

THE Care Quality Commission (CQC) has rated Wrenbury Medical Practice in Wrenbury as outstanding following an inspection in April and May.

Wrenbury Medical Practice, run by an organisation of the same name, provides GP services to around 5,620 people living in the village near Nantwich.

This inspection was carried out as part of CQC’s continual checks on the safety and quality of primary and community care services.

Following the inspection, the overall rating for the practice as well as the areas for well-led, caring and responsive have improved from good to outstanding. The areas of safe and effective have been rated as good again.

Karen Knapton, CQC deputy director of operations in the north, said: “When we inspected Wrenbury Medical Practice, we found a GP practice that was led by exceptional leaders supported by a dedicated staff team who put people at the heart of everything they did to deliver the best possible care.
