A Christmas Tails album musician performs at Crewe Library at a popular Winter Party event

- BY JONATHAN WHITE

LOCAL musicians behind a new Christmas charity album are taking its festive songs straight to live audiences and it’s helping to turn applause into vital fundraising support.

The album, Christmas Tails, has been released in aid of RSPCA Stapeley Grange in Nantwich and is the latest community arts project coordinated by Crewe musician and artist Mark Sheeky.

Available exclusively on Bandcamp until January 31, the album has already raised well over £300 for one of the UK’s busiest animal rescue centres.

To boost sales and spread the word, several of the artists featured on the album have been performing tracks live, giving audiences the chance to hear the songs before heading online to buy them.
