Scanner unit set up outside leisure centre

A VITAL mobile CT scanner unit has taken up temporary home outside Nuneaton's biggest leisure centre. Nuneaton and Bedworth Borough Council stepped in to ensure the scanner can remain offering its key services in the borough.

The Town Hall said the unit, used for lung cancer screening, will be on the Pingles Leisure Centre car park for two weeks - starting on April 16 until May 31. It is a response to 'capacity issues' at the scanner's previous location.
