Joshua Lancefield, from Newquay, is hospitalised in Turkey after breaking his back
A POPULAR architectural designer broke his back while in Turkey for his sister's wedding.
Joshua Lancefield suffered significant injuries when he fell off a wall during the early hours following his sister's nuptials.
The 38-year-old from Newquay was left needing emergency surgery with costs estimated to reach the realm of £30,000. His family, who have been by his side since, said while his initial surgery was a success he will need to remain in Turkey recovering for some time.
Daisy Fox, his sister, said that during the early hours of Saturday, May 10, Joshua and a couple of other guests from her wedding party were at the hotel they were staying in and decided to go downstairs for snacks. However, while on their way down, Joshua fell off of what she said was “quite a high wall” and landed on his back in a flower bed.
