With a lineup of over 2,600+ conference delegates, 150+ exhibiting companies, 150+ papers/poster presentations and 30+ country representatives from across the globe, GRIDCON 2025 witnessed another spectacular day filled with plenary technical sessions, poster presentations and intense deliberations in its panel discussion.
For the uninitiated- GRIDCON 2025- the global International Exhibition cum Conference for transmission industry inaugurated underway at Delhi, organized by Power Grid Corporation of India Limited (POWERGRID) from 9th-11th March 2025 and being held under the patronage of Ministry of Power in association with CIGRE, India had got inaugurated on 9th March 2025 by Union Minister of Power and Housing & Urban Affairs, Sh. Manohar Lal at the International Conference cum Exhibition Yashobhoomi, Dwarka, New Delhi in the august presence of Union Minister of State for Power & New & Renewable Energy, Sh. Shripad Yesso Naik and other distinguished dignitaries.
The highlight of the event on day two were the brainstorming session held at the Palash Hall, wherein the first set of experts hailing from industry, regulatory and think tanks dwelled on the immense challenges and opportunities that will be needed to be addressed as India aspires to transforms its power sector by 2047.
The session on Indian Power Sector in 2047 moderator Sh. Padam Prakash, Partner, PwC laid the broad contours of discussion to include the future roadmap for India's power transmission sector, maintaining grid stability, security and resilience, role of public-private partnerships, global Supply chain issues in transmission and emerging regulatory and legislative framework needed to work on India's green, resilient and sustainable power sector transformation.
