Two left in critical condition after suspected arson

TWO people were last night fighting for their lives in hospital following a suspected arson attack in St George.

The pair were understood to be in a home adjacent to a caravan which had allegedly been deliberately set on fire. A middle-aged man has since been arrested.
Police were called to reports of a caravan on fire at Bell Hill Road near the junction of Marling Road at about 10.25pm on Monday. A spokesman said: “Officers attended, along with colleagues from Avon Fire and Rescue Service and South Western Ambulance Service.
