AN Aldershot bus driver has been praised for going to the assistance of an elderly passenger who was confused, vulnerable and unable to provide any personal details.

Stagecoach South has recognised Sonam Lama, who it said is a dedicated member of the Aldershot team, for his “outstanding compassion and quick thinking during an early morning duty that exemplified the company’s commitment to care, responsibility and community service”.
The bus driver had a 94-year-old passenger who appeared confused and vulnerable, unable to recall his home address, family details or contact information.
