Man who performed sex act on disabled teen jailed

A MAN has been jailed for engaging in sexual activity with a teen with severe learning difficulties in a sauna.

Stephen Tate approached his teenage victim in a sauna at Hyndburn Leisure Centre, Accrington in 2022.

The 69-year-old approached the victim and performed a sexual act on him without warning.

The victim has severe learning difficulties and did not want the act to occur, a court heard.

He reported the incident to his dad who came to the leisure centre to confront Tate.

Telling Tate to wait for him, the dad was ignored and he drove off in his black BMW.
