JOHN Doolan intends to keep his players in check after a 2-1 win against Salford City in the league.
The Accrington Stanley manager ordered his players to not check their phones for other results in the league after insisting their destiny is in their own hands as they fight to keep their place in League Two.
Doolan said: "I don’t want anyone looking at their phones, I don’t want anyone shouting about anything else going on, I am not interested because we have to look after ourselves.
"It was an opportunity today to look after ourselves, even at halftime, I didn’t want anyone telling me the score.
"We are not interested, it’s about us, what we did today and that was about getting the three points.”
The vital win against Salford City moved the reds up to 46 points and strengthened their chances of survival in the league.
