Freddie's been eyeing up Reds

DEFENDER Freddie Sass admitted he'd been eyeing a potential move to Accrington Stanley long before signing his first EFL contract with the club this week.

Stanley's management team had been tracking him for a while and he said he’d been keeping tabs on the Reds.

“It's been a club I have been looking at with a goal to getting into the EFL,” he said.

“I have seen Devon Matthews and Tyler Walton here, players I used to play with, and for it to finally happen, I can’t put it into words - I am so grateful to be here.

“I have worked towards this my whole life, it’s very special for me.

“There has been a lot of hard work and sacrifices. There have been ups and downs along the way, but that's usual in football. Now I can’t wait to make my EFL debut.”
