Dealers jailed for prison drone drug drops
Accrington Observer

A PAIR of drug dealers have been jailed after a drug smuggling operation was brought down on the M6.
Curtis Carney and Robert Stoba were found to have been involved in the smuggling of drugs into prisons across the north west using drones.
A 10-month investigation led by the North West Regional Organised Crime Unit (NWROCU), in collaboration with Lancashire Police, Merseyside Police, and His Majesty's Prison and Probation Service (HMPPS), found that 36-year-old Carney and 26-year-old Stoba, of no fixed address, travelled in vehicles driven by women across the north west in a bid to be undetected.
Carney was first arrested in June 2024 on the M6 in Lancashire when officers brought his car to a stop.
