Board begins its work on reshaping neighbourhoods
Accrington Observer
|June 27, 2025
THE newly established Hyndburn Neighbourhood Board has begun its work to shape how up to £20 million of government investment will be spent in Accrington over the next 10 years as part of the national Plan for Neighbourhoods programme.
-
The board is responsible for overseeing the development and delivery of a long-term Regeneration Plan, focused on improving neighbourhoods, supporting local priorities, and making Accrington a better place to live, work and visit.
The programme builds on the significant regeneration work already underway in the town.
Chaired by Andy Tatchell, a well-known East Lancashire figure with a strong track record in local government regeneration strategies and community engagement, the board will include representatives from public services, local government and the community.
