HUMBLE Jas Singh has etched his name in Tamworth folklore – but he believes his all-conquering teammates deserve the right to join him.
Singh rewrote club history last weekend when a nerve-jangling 1-0 win over Farsley Celtic earned the popular goalkeeper an EIGHTH successive clean sheet.
It took him to 19 in all this term – more than any other club in the top six tiers of English football – with the 33-year-old yet to concede at all in 2024.
Indeed, ahead of yesterday’s trip to Hereford, Singh had gone 808 minutes without conceding, beating Dale Belford’s record of 712 minutes from the 1988-89 season.
But while Singh will naturally take all the plaudits, the former Kidderminster and AFC Telford United keeper insists the club record feat is a collective effort and wants to share the adulation with his teammates.
