GLOVERS GLORY GRINDS RUN TO A HALT!

The Non-League Football Paper

November 19, 2023

YEOVIL TOWN’S club-record 14-match winning run finally came to an end at the hands of south-west rivals Torquay.

GLOVERS GLORY GRINDS RUN TO A HALT!

Goals from Dillon De Silva and Callum Dolan gave the Gulls a two-goal cushion before the Glovers pulled one back through debutant Duncan Idehen.

Torquay held on and manager Gary Johnson, who led Yeovil to FA Trophy success in 2002, was delighted his side were able to avenge a 3-1 defeat to the Glovers, in the league, just ten days previous.

“It wasn’t about the competition, it was about the competition we were up against,” Johnson said. “We were disappointed with our game a week ago and we wanted to go out there and show what we can do.
