Role of AI in Achieving Renewable Energy Goals For an Environmentally Sustainable Future

Al's role has expanded with the rise of smart grids, particularly in remote areas, aiding in the digitalization of the energy sector. Despite challenges like high implementation costs and energy consumption, Al's numerous applications make it vital for renewable power generation. As companies tackle global warming, AI is helping them overcome limitations and enhance efficiency, making investments in renewable energy more attractive. The collaboration between AI and renewable energy is seen as key to achieving a sustainable future.

Modern power grids are essential systems that support the well-being of humans and drive global economic growth. While regular maintenance and upgrades are carried out, ageing grid infrastructures are increasingly vulnerable to extreme weather events, leading to power outages. These disruptions not only endanger the lives and safety of citizens but also threaten the economic stability of nations. As global warming intensifies, there is a growing shift away from reliance on oil and coal for power generation. The rapid changes in energy production demand a greater emphasis on renewable sources, such as wind and solar power.

imageRecent years witnessed a manifold increase in energy consumption globally. The increase was basically driven by rapid industrialization and the economic welfare of the countries. Pollution from burning fossil fuels has caused damage to the environment, leading to reduced biodiversity and further depletion of natural resources. Although the countries faced energy disruptions due to global conflicts and supply gaps due to holding by energy cartels, the use of fossil fuels continued unabated.
