How did you carve your niche as a businesswoman in a male-dominated heavy manufacturing industry like stainless steel?

It started with an idea! However, aesthetically designed lifestyle products in stainless steel were a new concept in the late 90s, as the consumers perceived the metal as cheap and commonplace. Initially, I faced challenges in finding the right design team and production capability to replicate my ideas or diagrams into a product-3D. Jindal Stainless Limited, the parent company, manufactures stainless steel material, but this was uncharted territory for them. Singularly, I made course corrections, and by 2001, with my husband's support, I started a factory. Through in-house production, I could control quality standards, unique design, and product patent.
