Not Just for Squeezing

Lemons are a powerful natural cleaner to use around the house. They are great for disinfecting your countertops and cutting boards, as the acidity removes bacteria. Simply slice a lemon in half and rub it facing down on the desired surface - not only will your kitchen smell fresh, but you can say goodbye to nasty germs too.

On the subject of tanginess, oranges as a similar fruit will do the trick for cleaning a stubborn microwave. In a bowl, add water and a few slices of citrus then microwave on high for a few minutes. This will create steam that will loosen up any dirt and grime inside and as an added bonus, deodorise your microwave.
