MAKE A LIST OF NEEDS AND WANTS

Begin by identifying your priorities and requirements for the outdoor space. Consider factors such as the need for a play area for children, outdoor dining and entertainment space, or the desire to have an outdoor cooking area. Create a list of your needs and wants, and use it as a foundation for developing a plan. Sketch rough ideas to visualise how you would like to use your outdoor space effectively.

PLAN FOR CHANGE

Anticipate how your needs may evolve over time. While you may require a play area for small children now, consider how the space can adapt as they grow older. To ensure a garden that can evolve without incurring significant expenses, opt for a simple and multifunctional design.
