INSPIRED BY: Murder Before Evensong (2022) by the Reverend Richard Coles

There's more cosy crime drama on the way as the debut novel from the Rev Richard Coles is being reimagined for a six-part series. Matthew Lewis - AKA Neville Longbottom in the Harry Potter films - is Canon Daniel Clement, whose quiet life in a sleepy village takes a sinister turn when he finds himself investigating a murder. Look out for New Tricks' Amanda Redman (above, with Matthew) as Daniel's formidable mum, Audrey.

'I'm beyond excited that Canon Clement and his flock are to be turned into television,' reveals Richard.

From the makers of The Split and Black Doves comes a six-part drama based on Andy West's moving memoir The Life Inside. The Responder star Josh Finan (left) plays Dan, a philosopher who begins teaching a class of men in prison. Through his work, Dan questions his own past, as his father, brother and uncle all ended up behind bars, and his actions start to threaten his future...

NETFLIX INSPIRED BY: Frankenstein (1818) by Mary Shelley

Oscar-winning director Guillermo del Toro adapts Mary Shelley's sci-fi chiller about egotistical scientist Victor Frankenstein for an epic new movie version set to land in November.
