Don’t be daft, laughs Walford favourite Gillian Taylforth as she and co-star Brian Conley join TV Times for an exclusive interview about their characters’ big day.

‘An EastEnders wedding never goes to plan! Things will happen, fireworks will go off!’ teases Gillian, 67.

‘A few people turn up to ruin it – that’s all I can probably say!’ adds Brian, 61, who, despite the expected drama, is chuffed to be marrying into one of the BBC1 show’s legendary dynasties.

‘I feel like I’m woven into the tapestry of EastEnders to be getting married to Kathy Beale,’ he smiles.

BRIAN Yes, I do. The writers could see there was chemistry between them in the early days. Rocky’s honoured – who wouldn’t want to marry Kathy Beale?
