Eileen's cancer-stricken sister passes away during a difficult week for the Grimshaws

Just a few months after her return to the cobbles, 50s throwback Julie Carp breathes her last. As deaths go, it's pretty idyllic and everything the terminally ill 40-something could've wanted. It's so serene, in fact, that it begs the question: has Julie taken matters into her own hands to get her perfect ending?

Julie's passing comes as the Grimshaw house is awash with tension. Todd is still nursing his heartache over closeted lover Theo, while things are frosty between Eileen and George, who was 'too busy' to take his partner to hospital when she had a fall last week, and roped in Brian instead.
