JOHN AND LISA'S WEEKEND KITCHEN NEW SUNDAY, 11.25AM, ITV1 COOKERY

It's set to be a summer of celebration for John Torode and Lisa Faulkner. Not only does their much-loved ITV1 cookery show Weekend Kitchen return for its milestone 10th series, but John is also turning 60 later this month.

I'll celebrate both with a little bit of fizz and joy,' smiles MasterChef judge John, whose special day falls on 23 July. 'I've got some nice things planned,' reveals actor, presenter and home cook Lisa, 53. 'It's a big birthday so friends and family are having a celebration for him - which he knows about!'

Before that, the culinary couple - who tied the knot in 2019 after meeting on the 2010 helping of BBC1's Celebrity MasterChef, which Lisa won - are delighted to be serving up a fresh collection of summery recipes in the new run of Weekend Kitchen.

Beginning this Sunday with episode Masterclass Magic, which sees them sharing tricks for whipping up classic dishes like steak and fish, the following four episodes - All Things Rice, Take 5, Potato Perfection and Eat in, Not Out - will air in the show's traditional Saturday-morning slot. There will also be five Christmas editions later this year.
