Former footballer David Beckham speaks out at Davos as he demands a level playing field for young women – inspired by his teenage daughter Harper
David Beckham paid tribute to the King last week – and revealed a commitment to equality for young women.
Picking up a prestigious award in Switzerland, the former England football captain - married to Victoria, who helped put "girl power" on the map with her Spice Girls bandmates in the 1990s - said: "I'm lucky enough to be a father of three boys and one beautiful girl.
"I want my daughter Harper to have the same opportunities as her brothers, and that should be the case for all girls everywhere. Being a girl shouldn't determine what you can do, where you can go and who you can become."
