Earlier this year at the press launch of the 2025 BMW S1000RR, I had a lightbulb moment when I realised that the S1000RR turned 15 years old in 2025, which, to be honest, I found more interesting than the fact that the wings on the 2025 bike make 1.6kg more downforce at 150kph than the 2024 wings do, or that the new mudguard is more efficient aerodynamically, and that the side panels are now asymmetric, just like the first-generation S1000RR.
