Guru of Insurance founder and CEO David Rao has always been ambitious.
That drive to succeed led him to be selected for the insurance management development program at a major insurer shortly after college. Rao finished the two-year program in just nine months, which was believed to be a company record at that time.
Following several years with that company, and a couple of stumbling blocks along the way, Rao made the leap to entrepreneurship, and Guru of Insurance was born. He had always known that he wanted to follow in the entrepreneurial footsteps of his father, who had run a successful sheet metal business for 20 years. In 2019, the timing was right.
