SKODA'S VISION OF TOMORROW

At the Munich Auto Show, Skoda offered a glimpse into the future with a concept that previews the next-generation Octavia. Here's our first impression.

The Octavia has long been one of Skoda's most successful models worldwide - in fact, you could say it's the backbone of the brand's success across several markets, particularly in Europe. So, it came as no surprise when Skoda invited us to preview what could well be the next-generation Octavia at the 2025 Munich Auto Show.

However, the car unveiled wasn't a sedan but a station wagon concept, and there's a good reason for that. Over the years, Skoda has sold more than 3.5 million station wagons - between the Octavia and the Superb - making it a crucial segment for the company. So, while the next-generation Octavia isn't expected to reach showrooms before 2029, the Vision O concept offers a compelling glimpse into the brand's radical new design direction and what the future Octavia could look like in a few years' time.
