At the Auto Expo 2023, Brakes India drew attention to its recent product advances. The company can now cater to mass segments with more reliable and higher-performance additions to its portfolio. In the case of CVs, this capability spans from Intermediate and Light Commercial Vehicles (I&LCVs) to Heavy Commercial Vehicles (HCVs). Sriram Viji, Managing Director at Brakes India Ltd. said, “Our product range will span from nine-tonne ICVs going up to 60-tonne tractor trailers.” “With our vast field experience, we have made several patented improvements to the reliability and performance of these products. As the global market has limited choices today, Brakes India has a strong value proposition in this space,” he stated. The company is a big draw for leading Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) looking at offerings like the locally developed motor on a drum brake with a driver-independent park brake feature or the e-booster for vacuum-free brake actuation for electric vehicles. In the CV folio, Brakes India has air actuation solutions and air disc brakes.
