A cat with a steely resolve and a coat to match, the Russian Blue is a thing to behold. The hallmark of this breed is its short dense grey coat which is tipped with silver and its piercing emerald eyes. They are intelligent, social and loyal beings, with a predilection for sole quality time.
Before we give you more on the breed, you must be wondering why they’re called Archangel Blues! As it goes, the Russian Blue is said to have naturally originated from the Isles of Arkhangelsk in Russia, from where they were transported by sailors in the 1860s to Britain and Northern Europe.
