WITH life almost unrecognisable compared to how it was four months ago, it’s unsurprising that Britons are struggling with stress. Whether you are facing health fears, financial worries or just have low level anxiety about the future, there are plenty of things you can do to help your mental health.
SPOT THE SIGNS
Not everybody who suffers from stress or anxiety recognises it, especially when the world is looking so different.
Signs to watch out for include difficulty controlling your worry, trouble sleeping, rapid breathing or a tight chest and regular feelings of panic and nervousness.
Whatever your levels of anxiety or stress there is help available, so don’t be afraid to ask for it.
GET CREATIVE
If you’re finding yourself stuck in a cycle of negativity, take some time out and do something different. Spend five minutes planting seeds in your garden or decorate a cake. Your mind will be forced to switch out of negative thought patterns.
IDENTIFY FEARS
Sometimes anxiety can feel as though it is floating around your body for no discernible reason. Grab a piece of paper and write down everything that is bothering you, however small it might be.
When everything is clearly in black and white, you can start to work out what is niggling you and what you can do to fix those things.
STAY HYDRATED
