PEP GUARDIOLA says Phil Foden is stuck in sixth gear - but having a third child might finally slow him down.

Foden, 23, is enjoying the season of his life and this week his four-yearold son Ronnie announced on social media that his mum and dad are expecting their third child.

Foden has scored 24 goals in all competitions and is among the favourites to be Footballer of the Year yet Guardiola insists the England star can still improve.

But Guardiola says Foden always plays at top speed when he could learn to slow down and catch defenders by surprise with his quick bursts.

The Manchester City manager said: "I would love him to go in sixth gear in every single action but afterwards you are less precise, you lose the ball all the time and that is not effective.
