Kane’s so able to book a fi nal date

EMOTIONAL boss David McNabb was close to tears after steering Warrington Rylands into Saturday’s FA Vase fi nal at Wembley with a hard-fought victory over Walsall Wood.

Goals in both halves from Kane Drummond and an Elliott Nevitt penalty put the North West Counties League side in dreamland, although Tom Tonks’ superb stoppage-time reply made for a nervy final few minutes.

“Wembley, it’s unbelievable really isn’t it,” McNabb beamed. “I am so proud of these lads, they deserve their place in club history.

“I am struggling to put just what it means to this club. I am so made up for everyone concerned from the players, the coaching staff and all our families.

“The support from behind the scenes is largely underestimated, the fact that we are out watching other games and training two nights a week as well as playing and in the players case, working full time, couldn’t happen without all those very important people.”
