Quick Cards are just magic

The Non-League Football Paper

|

December 13, 2020

WOKING manager Alan Dowson hailed Woking’s ‘unprecedented quick start’, as the Cards celebrated the return of fans with a dazzling win against Hartlepool United.

- Alex Thrower

Quick Cards are just magic

Nine months have passed since the Cards played in front of their fans, a home defeat to Barnet in March, but the 799 spectators were in fine voice as Dowson’s side returned to winning ways having lost their previous two.

Barely two minutes were on the clock when Kyran Lofthouse delivered a fine cross into the visitor’s penalty box, with David Ferguson’s limp header away only going as far as Matt Jarvis.

The former England international was making just his third league start of the season and was able to half-volley home from eight yards out.
