LANCASTER CITY and Nantwich Town were forced to settle for a share of the points as they fought each other to a standstill at a wet and windy Giant Axe.
Few clear cut chances were created in the conditions but the blank scoreline at least keeps both teams well in contention for an end of a season promotion push.
Jack Armer, fresh from his midweek appearance for Scotland’s U19’s, created the first opportunity of the game after eight minutes. Collecting the ball around the half-way, he made a strong run towards the Nantwich penalty area, eluding three or four tackles before firing in a shot from the edge of the penalty area that was well saved by Greg Hall.
