ENDING THE SEASON IS ON SURVEY

A SECOND null-and-void season at Steps 3 and 4 is looking ominous with clubs set to receive a survey from the FA this week.

Following the third national lockdown introduced by the Government on Monday, the outlook for the 2020-21 campaign looks bleak.

The Trident Leagues – Isthmian, Northern Premier League and Southern – say their boards “hold the view that the season should cease immediately and be declared null and void”.

However, the views of member clubs will now be sought by an FA issued survey – while it is not a strict vote, the responses will inform the decision.

Clubs will be asked if they believe the season should be terminated as soon as possible and what the alternative should be if not.
