A debut goal from new loan signing Nicke Kambamba, just seven minutes after coming on as a substitute, earned the Shots all three points after the teams had shared efforts in first-half stoppage-time – home defender Manny Parry immediately cancelling out Jim Kellermann’s opener seconds earlier.

“I’m pleased with the result as Crabble is a very difficult place to come to and the opposition are very hard to play against,” said Waddock, whose side are now five games unbeaten. “We stuck to the task and came away with the win.
