HOOPS ROMEO IS TAPP-ED UP!
OXFORD CITY say they had no idea that star defender Finn Tapp had planned to enter the Love Island villa.
The 20-year-old was due to be in the Hoops starting line-up to face Braintree Town in National League South yesterday but instead became the ITV2 reality show’s newest contestant when hitting our screens on Wednesday.
Despite being a contracted player at the club, Tapp followed the show’s protocol and flew out to South Africa in secret on Tuesday, alongside Connagh Howard, 27.
Commercial director Mick Livesey confirmed the club were only told the news on the day of Tapp’s departure but says the club fully supports his decision and wishes him luck in his quest for love.
