As far as she can remember, Kavita Bathija has always had a passion for cooking. Thanks to her love for food, the Bathija home became her earliest experimentation ground. Whether it was lasagna or daal makhani, Kavita fulfilled her desire by cooking various, fancy meals for her family. Fortunately, her endeavors were highly appreciated, eventually fueling her to do more, seek more, and dream big.

From family, she moved onto friends, garnering praise from whomever she cooked for. This only gave Kavita more confidence in her abilities. Before she knew it, through word of mouth, the orders started pooling in from friends to acquaintances, and so forth. “That’s when I decided that food is a great business,” says Kavita, “after all, it’s a basic necessity!” And that’s how, at the age of 51, she decided to go back to school, in order to jump-start her business!
