The year 2014: Siri VS Cortana. When the cardinal player Siri was introduced as an application by Apple in 2010, the idea of a voice assistant in a smartphone was the most exciting and unique proposition. Later Windows introduced Cortana and a trend was set that was meant to evolve in a way that would revolutionise the idea of personal assistants. Fast forward to 2018, today the leading corporations such as Google, Apple, Microsoft, Amazon are the opponents of the same battle.

Recently launched in India, Amazon Alexa was widely appreciated and accepted by the users.

Discussing the mounting industry, Maitri Panchal gets Mr. Puneesh Kumar, Country Manager, Alexa, Amazon India, to give his insights about the future of voice assistant in India.
