Sawed Off ShotGun Ducati Monster 797

Back in the days, when I was in my teens, the Ducati Monster 696 was the first Ducati I saw on the Indian streets. I fell in love with the bike back then, and that love led to my passion for bikes.

The Ducati Monster 797 is not the latest in the historic monster line-up, but is a fighter in its own class. It’s using the Ducati’s most basic air-cooled motor, a stripped-back chassis and a hunched forward Monster styling which has evolved over time. The tank has been taken from the new Monster 1200, and so is the big red trellis frame.

Get on it and there’s no fuss, just a set of LCD clocks, that ski boot clasp holding on the tank (just like the original Monsters but redesigned in aluminum), and that headlight, complete with LED positioning light, dropping away in front of you.

It only makes 73bhp from its air/ oil-cooled motor, but it does it in a gentle, unassuming way making 80% of its maximum torque from 3500rpm.
